privacy policy
This is our plain-English privacy policy. We designed Doodly to collect as little as possible so this document can be short and honest.
what we don't collect
No accounts. No email addresses. No passwords. No phone numbers. No social logins. No ad tracking. No third-party analytics cookies. No fingerprinting. We don't know who you are.
what we do collect
When you click “challenge friends” or “join room” at the end of a round, we store a small record of that round in our database so the shared leaderboard works. That record contains: the display name you typed (if any), the three scores the game calculated for your round, the stroke data of the three doodles you drew (so the leaderboard can replay them), and a timestamp. That's all. Until you press one of those buttons, nothing leaves your device.
If you never create or join a room, nothing is stored server-side about you at all.
where the data lives
Room data is stored in a managed Postgres database provided by Neon on infrastructure located in the United States. Pages and API routes are served via Vercel. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to third parties for marketing purposes.
cookies and local storage
Doodly does not set any tracking or advertising cookies. The site uses no cookies at all for authentication or analytics. Your browser may cache static files (images, scripts, the Quick, Draw! JSON) for faster loading on return visits — that is ordinary browser behavior and is not tracking.
retention and deletion
Rooms are retained indefinitely so old share links stay valid. If you want a room, an attempt, or all drawings associated with a display name deleted, email zuleart.shop@gmail.com with the room ID (visible in the URL after /r/) and we will remove it within seven days.
children
Doodly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, email us and we will remove it.
changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Small wording tweaks won't be called out.
