By using Doodly you agree to these terms. They're short and written in plain English because the site is small and the stakes are low.

the game is free

Doodly is free to play and always will be in its core form. We may show advertising on some pages in the future to help pay for hosting. We will not start charging for the core gameplay without prominent notice.

use at your own risk

Doodly is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We try to keep the site working, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, bug-free behavior, or preservation of any room or share link. If the site is important to your day, have a backup plan.

your drawings

When you submit a round to a shared room, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display, replay, render, and include your drawings and display name in the Doodly site (including share previews and leaderboards) for as long as the room exists. You retain all other rights to what you drew. You can request removal at any time using the contact email on the privacy page.

You confirm that anything you draw or type into Doodly is your own — you will not impersonate other people, submit hateful content, or deliberately try to spell out slurs, threats, or harassment in a display name or drawing. We reserve the right to remove any room or attempt that violates this, with or without notice.

quick, draw! content

The reference doodles shown during the memorize phase are sourced from Google's Quick, Draw! dataset, used under the CC-BY 4.0 license. Full attribution is on the about page. We do not claim authorship of any reference doodle.

prohibited use

Don't abuse the service. Specifically: no scraping in ways that impact site performance; no attempting to circumvent rate limits; no submitting malicious payloads to the API; no automated submission of rooms or attempts at scale.

liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of Doodly. Our maximum aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed ₹1,000.

governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of these terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka.

changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
